FAQ's

What is Ardmore YP?
Ardmore Young Professionals is a group of young professionals in the Ardmore area who seek to broaden their business and social networks.

When are the meetings?
Ardmore YP as a whole doesn’t have monthly organized meetings. We provide many social and community service oriented activities that all members are welcome and encouraged to attend. The organization gets together as a whole in the Fall at the MegaMixer and usually we all end up at the Poker Tournament in the Spring.

Why should I join?
Ardmore is filled with many opportunities for a young professional, but sometimes it’s hard to know where to start. Joining Ardmore YP is one easy way to develop a multitude of business and social contacts so that your network of peers grows year by year.

If you don’t meet monthly, how do you know what’s going on?
Newsletters to our membership, Facebook, MySpace and Special Eblasts.

I’m new to town and don’t know anyone. I don’t want to walk into a scene and feel out of place, which event should I attend first to get my feet wet and get a feel for the organization?
We want you to feel like you’re welcome and we want to help you make those important connections, both socially and professionally! The monthly Lunch Bunch is a great way to quickly meet veteran members, new members and other prospective members just like you! We meet at Luigi’s the first Thursday of the month at noon. It’s a casual lunch with no spotlight on anyone, just getting to know other people your age in town.

So I see you guys in the paper and on the TV, what all do you do in the community?
One of Ardmore YP’s main focus points is on community service. We have dedicated members that serve diligently to set up all sorts of community service and volunteer opportunities! These “Volunteer Opportunities” always turn into social and very fun events! That’s what’s so fun about this organization! Who else can make picking up trash fun?

Steering Committee

The purpose of the Steering Committee is to set the foundation for the organization and be responsible for ensuring the success of the organization as a whole. Each member is nominated to fill a seat on the governing board as well as a sub-committee through which we address the needs of our community.
